Notes:
(1) Originally uploaded as having been operated by the Irish Traction Group however Derek Thompson has corrected this, commenting that he thinks the I.T.G. simply acted as ticket agents. This has also been confirmed by Gordon Lacy.
(2) Train was booked to reverse at Limerick but due to late running reversed at Limerick Check instead.
(3) An additional train was run to get passengers to/from the overnight ferry into Dun Laoghaire as below. It is reported that the 20.04 train from Dublin Connolly to Dun Laoghaire was in fact the 19.44 but running late (this has since been confirmed by Gordon Lacy). Chris Wall comments: it was definitely a special as it ran in to the bay at Dun Laoghaire - used only for such workings at the time. There then ensued a very rapid embarkation onto the 20.45 ferry.
