Notes :
(1) Passengers were able to take a round trip on the North Norfolk Railway, two
trains ran, train A hauled by Hunslet 0-6-0 'Ring Haw' and train B hauled by
class 27, D5386.
(2) Howard Parker comments: All down trains on the MML were running late due to
engineering work at St Pancras. Further delay occurred as trains were being hand
signalled between Manea and Chettisham as signals had been damaged by a freight
train that had derailed several days previously. The late departure from
Sheringham was due to a late running service train which delayed the arrival of
the empty coaching stock.
(3) Booked route was via the direct Ely North to Ely West curve.
