Notes :
(1) Mike Harries comments: The train was originally advertised to run from and to London, electrically hauled to and from Farrington Junction; London passengers were now to join and leave at Leeds with, according to the letter with tickets, a separate special train on the East Coast route. Passengers booked to join at Wigan were to use service trains to Crewe and back (to Wallgate) from Stockport, hence the booked stop on the return. There was a run-past at Appleby on the return leg, as well as water stops at both Appleby and Garsdale in each direction (using the water crane at Appleby). Mileages were only supplied for the steam section.
(2) Train carried a 1T47 headcode but it is unknown if this was the true headcode (or just a part of re-enacting the tour of 1968).
