Notes :
(1) Organised as part of the 50th Anniversary of D-Day celebrations. On the
Saturday the QE2 was present along with a US battle ship. These
trains were organised and tickets sold by a travel agent. It is reported that
only single tickets were sold, with no advice on how to return. The agent went
out of business a day or so before the event. Tickets were expensive and few
people travelled on the trains.
(2) 96 'Normandy' hauling 3x Queen Mary brake vans was giving rides within
Southampton Eastern Docks.
(3) Multiple runs made - further details required. E828 & 30777 took
turns to make the round trip to Salisbury.
