Notes :
(1) Further details required (how many round trips were made, timings). Bill Hills travelled on one shuttle and believes there were a total of three or four run on the day and were organised as part of the town's centenary celebrations. Nick Bartlett comments that some of the shuttles ran the other way round the circuit, e.g. Woking-Guildford-Aldershot-Woking.
(2) Bill Hills also comments: Later on, at about tea time, there were two un-publicised excursions from Woking - Waterloo. I travelled on the first departure hauled by 30053, with 35028 hauling the second, which passed us somewhere around Hersham. Ultimately arriving at Waterloo in adjacent platforms, 35028 having beating us fair and square! There were no tickets, the lucky participants on board these trains were invited to make a donation that would go to charity.
