This weekend was a "Steam Extravaganza" with a half hourly train service
from Moor Road to Park Halt,
using all available locos throughout the day. The Saturday started with the "All-Line Tour" shown above,
and both days ended with a "All-Loco" Haulage. Saturday's combination was -
Moor Road to Park Halt
NER 1310 + 68153 + "Mirvale" + Cockerill No.1 + 9599 "William" - (coaches 1867+2084)
with Danish 385 on rear
Park Halt to Moor Road
Danish 385 + Thomas Hill 138C - (coaches 2084+1867) with 9599 + No.1 + "Mirvale"
+ 68153 + NER 1310 on rear
(To explain the leading locos - while at Park Halt, 385 was removed, & Thomas
Hill 138C,
which had formed the last service to Park Halt and stabled in loop, was added to stock &
then 385 re-attached)
