Notes :
(1) An off-train option was to leave the train at Newcastle and visit the Beamish Open Air Museum, rejoining the train at Newcastle on the return journey. The tour booklet declared it was "a special Quilting Weekend at Beamish, with demonstrations of this North-Country Craft"!
(2) Booked route was: Muirhouse South Jn - Larkfield Jn. Reason for diversion not known.
(3) Booked route was: Mossend West Jn - Mossend East Jn. Diversion was to enable a reversal of the stock to "cancel" the earlier unscheduled reversal. Reversal point was recorded as "Motherwell Depot area" - confirmation is required this was Braidhurst Loop (the usual location where reversals are made).
(4) Was 47747 on the rear, or did it follow separately?
