Notes :
(1) Pathfinder's tour brochure for this trip carried the following comment: Unfortunately we are unable to traverse the North Warwickshire Line as we have just been informed that Class 56 are too heavy for a weak bridge on the route. At no time have we been advised of a problem and only know now because we spotted the changed route when we received the point to point timings on Wednesday.
(2) Peter Finan comments: The reason for the protracted times between Oxford & Didcot Parkway was due to signalling issues, we were stood on the centre road (nowadays known as the Up Oxford, unsure if it was different in 1996).
(3) Booked route was: Stechford - Aston - Perry Barr South - Perry Barr West Jn - Soho East - Soho South Jn - Birmingham New Street (rev).
