09.35 Didcot - Kidderminster, return 19.05

5051 "Earl Bathurst" Didcot - Dorridge
25278 + 25303 Dorridge - Dorridge via B'ham New St, Worcester Shrub Hill, Kidderminster then Stourbridge Jnct, B'ham New St, Dorridge
5051 "Earl Bathurst" Dorridge - Didcot

The train was worked from Didcot to Knowle and return by Castle class 5051 Earl Bathurst, and the train sponsored by the Didcot Railway Centre. I believe that the late John Mynors had been a leading light in the restoration of 5051 for main line service. The log of the steam sections is here http://www.locoperformance.co.uk/edition22/r5051dor1980.htm and the log of the diesel section is here http://www.locoperformance.co.uk/edition24/25303-25287kdr.htm (Note the file name includes an incorrect loco number!)

Appartently participants on the tour also had a SVR Bewdley to Bridgnorth return trip on 2-8-0 no 2857. It isn't clear whether this meant the stock formed this additional train (in which case it would be a Didcot - Bridgnorth charter).

This information is courtesy of Brian Basterfield.

Now confirmed 25s ran round at Kidderminster and worked through to Bewdley and back with train being worked through to Bridgnorth by 2857 as previously advised.
