Can you help John Kappler with this?
I'm trying to find a tour that I think ran in the early 80s. All this is from memory, but..
It was from London to Glasgow Central where we were bused to Glasgow Works Open Day. I think we also had a tour of Eastfield Depot. It was electric-hauled as far as Carlisle where a 26 and a 25(or 24) took over to reach Glasgow via the G&SW. Outward was overnight, but I think homeward got us back late on Saturday. It was possibly by NREA (or RESL). |
