JS 2-8-2 5029 Tiefa Coal Rlwy tender first Diaobingshan - Faku main track - Xiaokang Mine Platform loop.
JS 2-8-2 5029 boiler first Xiaokang Mine Platform loop - Faku main track - Diaobingshan - Sanjiazi West to East - Daqing (PS Branch Jn) - Tieling Power Station.
JS 2-8-2 5029 tender first Tieling Power Station - Daqing (PS Branch Jn)[detrain from coaches stopped across level crossing serving the coal mine opposite the loco stabling point].
Special charter with YZ22 coaches and last JS steam loco in service on the Tiefa Coal Railway as part of a two week tour of tourist and rail enthusiast interests in China from 22 October to 3 November 2004.
Most travel to sites of interest was by hired transits (I've still got a numb b$%) though some travel was underatken by service train such as Beijing to Shenyang, Chengde to Beijing and Zhelimu to Galadesitai on the Jitong line (2 QJs in the book unless you count the cab rides on the freight trains as charters).
Travel to China for railway interests has much to recommend it whether steam is still to be found or not - roadside abbattoirs not withstanding. Only thing missing is top and tail tractors on the branches. |
