Comments.

The times I quoted were those given in the program notes.

This was an LCGB block booking. The timing sheet doesn't define the actual operator other than to say (in the English translation) obey SNCB staff at all times. So I am assuming that this was organised as an SNCB excursion.

It ran to Mariembourg to take advantage of the CFV3V Steam Festival held annually at the end of September. The ticket for the steam excursion also allowed the holder either a trip to Chimay on one of two return trips on line 156 (12.30 and 14.00 dep Mariembourg) or one of the three return trips on line 132 between Mariembourg CFV3V platform and Treignes (13.00 / 14.00 / 15.00). Other CFV3V trains were running but not convenient for the special train.

There was a beer tent amongst displays and other stalls at Treignes along with 2nd World War Military vehicles some of which were loaded onto flat wagons and taken steam hauled from Triegnes to Mariembourg and back. I am sure some appreciated this pseudo freight train.

I think the main line steam excursion started its return journey from the CFV3V platform in order to save some time because the connecting steam hauled train from Treignes had failed enroute with passengers being rescued by DMU. If it was planned it didn't make it clear in the timing sheet handed out with the train.

The route via Schaerbeek appeared to be a diversion from the booked route with the itinerary showing the route as through Buxelles Schuman to Bruxelles Ouest.
