Cardiff City v Plymouth Argyle One all draw.

Charter for Plymouth fans to Cardiff. Taken by parents to visit relatives aboard privately chartered footex.

This date fits what I remember of the occasion. I was told some 15 years after the event that D1057 hauled the train from Plymouth North Road to Cardiff Central via St.Philips Marsh and Dr.Days curve to avoid Temple Meads station.

I have never been able to verify this. A pity as it would have been the only time that I had a Western for haulage in South Wales.
