(1) Route & loco confirmation required (compiled from several sources). A tour that the organisers probably wished they'd never run! Severely delayed departing Stevenage after a reported brake problem the loco was failed at Grantham with loss of/low coolant. Original routing on the return (Carlisle - (via WCML) - Carstairs South Jn - Carstairs East Jn - Midcalder Jn - Slateford Jn - (via Edinburgh Suburban) - Niddrie West Jn - Portobello Jn - Edinburgh Waverley then back via ECML) was abandoned as the tour exceeded 6 (SIX) hours late!
