(1) D1015 suffered a defective turbocharger on the climb up The Lickey resulting in having to go to one-engine operation. 37427 was added as "insurance". Booked route from Birmingham New Street to Wolverhampton had been "mainline" (i.e. via Soho South Jn, Dudley Port & Sandwell & Dudley).
