(3) Dave Turner comments: There was a problem at Buxton prior to the return leg with the loco on the stops not being able to be the lead loco and, as a result, the loco at the Manchester end had to be the lead loco for the entire return journey (the train should have reversed in yard at Buxton and run via Great Rocks i.e. the reverse of the outward route).
