Notes :
(1) Tour run to promote the re-opening of the direct route between Colne &
Skipton. The Missing Link and was the first train from Colne to Skipton since
the direct line closed (37 years prior). The whole route was 50 miles compared
to just 11½ mile direct route and took 2½
hours to travel one way. The tour was so successful the the group ran Missing
Link 2 in October that same year (date confirmation required). This tour was a
135-mile journey involving 5 reversals (route was via Leeds, Bradford-Hebden
Bridge and Copy Pit).
