(1) Water carrier (running number required) & support coach, (35333), only in consist during steam hauled section.
(2) Neil Edwards comments: This was the inaugural run of the water carrier in passenger service, looks to have been a success (at least with the fare paying passengers, although the photographers are less pleased with it's appearance). The King put in an excellent performance, spoiled only by a signal failure in the Haddenham area, which meant a 19 min late arrival at Paddington Platform 1.
