(4) John Clifford comments: There was a late start on the return as insufficient time had been allowed to turn the engine & service it. In addition a shunt move was necessary to get the train to the down side at Faversham. This meant that we left behind a stopping train. However, by cutting down on the water stop & some brisk running we were only a few minutes late back.
