Train cancelled on the morning of the tour due to various coaching stock problems including deficient Central Door Locking.

Notes :
(1) Passengers at Birmingham, (International & New Street), were advised to catch a service train to Wolverhampton due to the late start, while the crew tried to rectify the problem. The train did make a circuit around the Soho-Perry Barr loop while this was going on, passing Wolverhampton the first time at about 10:00, but to no avail and the train was finally declared a failure and cancelled when it returned to Wolverhampton about an hour later, on it's way back to Oxley.
