Notes :
(1) John Clifford comments: When this tour was first advertised the return route was to be the same as the outward one except that it would run via Greenford and Acton. It eventually became the route shown. On the day, there was a slight delay at Aynho Jn to wait for the 09.45 Reading - Newcastle to pass as it was 5 minutes late. Also our train did not stop at Warwick as booked, so passengers were taken there by taxi from Stratford-upon-Avon. On the return we were due to wait on the through line at Oxford to let the 14.27 Manchester Piccadilly - Bournemouth to pass, but this was also late, so we went through platform 1 and waited at Hinksey North for it to pass.
