(1) 57601 on rear.

(3) This tour was originally advertised to be steam hauled from Bristol Temple Meads to Carmarthen, diesel hauled Carmarthen to Tenby, and then steam hauled back to Bristol Temple Meads. Various locos had been shown for the steam part, and shortly before the running date it was to be 34067 'Tangmere'. However this engine had failed on an earlier tour, so the tour ran diesel hauled throughout. Carmarthen was omitted as there was no need to turn the train.
