(3) John Clifford comments: The outward journey ran well. There was a slight loss of time between Worting Jn and Winchester due to a speed restriction at Wallers Ash. Also to needed to wait for a Swanage Railway train at Corfe Castle. Locos working on the Swanage Railway were 'U' class no. 31806 and 'Crompton' no. 33201. On the return journey we were longer at Basingstoke than booked since the engine was low on water when it arrived.
