Notes:
(1) A joint venture between The Branch Line Society and 84G Railtours raising funds for the Railway Children charity.
(2) 33025 dead-in-tow & 47772 on rear. At Crewe, a hot axle box was detected on 33025 so was removed at Gresty Green Up Through Siding and parked in the West end headshunt. It was still there on our return at night. The plan was for the Cl.37-33 Top & Tail with Cl.47 combo to operate to Acton Lane Reception sidings, Cl.33 T&T with Cl.47 to Bognor & back to Banbury, with the Cl.37 & Cl.47 T&T forward from Banbury DGL to Carnforth with an overnight stop-over in Crewe. The Cl.33 would have run light engine from Banbury to Southall Depot.
(3) 47772 on rear.
(4) 37518 on rear.
(4) 'The Sussex Salopian' tickets were valid for both Saturday & Sunday, but for those passengers unable to attend on the Saturday, the Crewe to Carnforth section on the Sunday was offered & marketed as 'The Sunday Salopian'.
(5) Tour brochure itinerary mistakenly used Acton Main Line Loops rather than Acton Lane Reception, consequently the mileages need amending.
Acton Lane Reception should be 257m 30ch & Kensington Olympia 260m 27ch, with 2m 71ch deducting for all mileages beyond.
(6) During the break at Bognor, an All-Line visit was arranged at The Hotham Park Miniature Railway.
