Route :

Loco(s) Route

????? ?Woodhead? - (via Woodhead Tunnel [third bore]) - Dunford Bridge
????? Dunford Bridge - (via Woodhead Old Tunnel) - ??? - Manchester London Road

Notes :
(1) Route & traction confirmation required. The third bore of Woodhead Tunnel was opened on this date by the then transport minister Alan Lennox-Boyd. It is likely that the train was loco-hauled using an EM1 (class 76) or EM2 (class 77) - if the latter then it was either E27000 or E27001 as these were the only two in service on this date.
