(1) Originally uploaded as an S.L.S. (Midlands Area) tour, now understood to
have been a B.R. Day Excursion with an S.L.S. party on board. Pete Stamper
comments: It was a BR advertised excursion (not SLS) which went empty stock from
Tyseley to Snow Hill. From there the train went forward to Aberystwyth, with a
photo stop at Moat Lane before proceeding. Then followed a round trip on the
Vale of Rheidol and return home. The loco used for the outward journey was 7803
Barcote Manor. Unfortunately, it blew a piston gland and was replaced by 5369
for the return.

Does the ticket below also relate to this outing, or was it another tour also to Aberystwyth on the same date?
