Notes :
(1) Tour ticket suggests there may have been 'feeder' services into
the tour (service trains?) - confirmation required.
(2) Photographic evidence confirms train stock consisted of at least 5 coaches
(but probably 6) of LMS corridor stock.
(3) Originally uploaded showing the loco change between 69855 + 62360 & 62360 + 41102
as taking place Leyburn, not Hawes as booked.

Photo Review
41102 prior to departing Manchester Victoria (photo: The Robert Elswood Collection)
Robert Elswood comments: This was taken at Manchester Victoria prior to the
departure of
this tour, and I have it because my grandfather Fred Mountfield was the
driver (that's him
on the right), at least for the leg from Victoria to Tebay where the loco was
changed (and, I
imagine, for the final return leg that evening). Thank you for a fantastic
resource which has
allowed me to identify what Grandad was doing that day and to learn more about
'his' locomotive.

65061 waits at Tebay (photo: Mike Morant collection)
65061 & 46478 are seen at Darlington North Road prior to the loco change

62360 at Northallerton possibly waiting for the advertised class A.8
to couple-on. (photo: Mike Morant collection)
