Notes :
(1) Route confirmation required - above is from booked timings.
(2) Edwin Wilmshurst retained a covering letter from the R.C.T.S. which explained some of the issues they experienced with pre-tour planning of this tour and why a portion of it was run after dark. For historical interest the main sections from it are detailed below;

We feel that an explanation is due to our members and friends as to why the tour finishes so late and why a portion of it will be in total darkness.

There was a considerable delay in obtaining any timings prior to the tour being publicised and we had to go to print only with the knowledge that Olympia would be reached at 5.36pm, no forward timings being available. Our next communication from B.R. provided for an arrival back at St. Pancras at 7.27pm - some twenty minutes later than we had envisaged. On 18th September we were informed that it was not practicable to maintain times previously quoted for the Brentford branch, and amended times were given providing for an arrival at Olympia at 6.04pm Worse was to follow - four days later it was learned that for operating reasons Cricklewood Jn could not be used and the train will have to proceed to Brentford Jn adding even more minutes to the schedule. Strong representations were then made to B.R. and consideration was given to terminating the tour at Olympia or Willesden Junction making a refund to passengers. However, as we were given to understand that any refund would be very small, we decided, in order to avoid disappointment, to go ahead with the original project allowing a special stop at Clapham Junction for those unable to complete the tour due to the time factor. It is hoped to include the part of the tour from Clapham Junction onwards in next year's London rail tour.

Brentford Branch
It was only after Strong representations had been made that W.R. agreed to run the special train beyond Firestone Crossing, and an assurance has been give that NO PASSENGER WILL ALIGHT ON TO THE OLD STATION PLATFORM AT BRENTFORD AS IT IS UNSAFE.
