(4) Loco propelling.
(5) A letter to booked passengers dated July 1959 describes 'hitches in the negotiations with London Midland Region' for the first postponement then a strike in the printing industry which prevented publication of the July issue of Railway Magazine for preventing the re-dated tour being properly advertised. The decision to postpone it until 1960 was made based on it being a long tour and there being restricted hours of daylight as the year drew on. The letter finished with a statement that it was hoped to run the tour in 'late May or early June' 1960.
