Notes:
(1) A total of three round trips are reported to have been made on this date to mark the closure of the line between Middleton Top and Friden. It is recorded that the Anglo-Norse Society also travelled over the same section on this date - as the SLS was given as organising/sponsoring the first round trip (listed above), were the other two operated for/by the ANS?
(2) Train stalled and ran back to the bottom of the incline and the train split and tripped to the top of the incline in two trips of 3x brake vans each.
