Notes :
This rail tour marked the end of service for 4-GRI EMU's introduced in 1937/38 for the Portsmouth/Bognor electrification. Timekeeping was excellent and included a non-stop run from Victoria to Brighton as a grand finale. These were originally identified as 4-RES sets but were re-classified following conversion by BR during the 1950's.
