Simmonds comments: I have in my records a BR adex from Leicester to Torquay on
Saturday May 5th 1973. This was the first long distance spotting trip so I
remember it clearly, we were hauled by un-renumbered Peak 91 both ways & the
routing was via Camp Hill. What was particularly strange was the train didn't
continue to Paignton so I remember sitting on Torquay platform for what must
have been several hours & only noting a couple of Westerns until 91 returned
with the stock-obviously from Paignton carriage sidings. Is this the same train,
or a second one from Leicester to the West Country on the day?
