Notes :
(1) Organised (primarily?) by Tony Fielding in his role as South West and South
Wales Area Secretary of the Welsh Highland Light Railway (1964) Ltd and
advertised as a WHLR trip (i.e. no mention of F&W Railtours yet in tour
publicity, ticket letter etc but it is listed as F&W's 4th railtour in their
archives).
(2) Route & loco confirmation required. Due to engineering works the train
was routed outward via the Severn Tunnel, requiring passengers from Bristol
Parkway to join at Filton on the outward leg, but were able to detrain at
Parkway on the return. Passengers pre-booking a return trip on the Torbay Steam
Railway were to catch the 15.00 departure from Paignton to Kingswear and 16.15
return working.
