(1) Unexpected reversal after loco change at Birmingham New Street.
(2) Unscheduled stop at Redhill – 33054 declared failure, 73004 attached at
front.
(3) Unscheduled stop at East Croydon, understood to be for replacement of both
locos. However, no loco available, so 73004 continued, completing the climb to
Mitre Bridge on diesel power.
