Notes :
(1) Route & loco confirmation required - above is taken from covering letter
than was sent out with the tour tickets. Passengers who joined the train at
Guide Bridge and New Mills on the outward leg were to return home from
Manchester Piccadilly by service train. It is noted that the ticket and covering
letter listed a different steam loco on the return leg (45407 in the covering
letter, (4)4932 on the ticket) but Internet/photographic sources record the use
of 44871 & 44932 per the ticket (same sources also confirm the use of 5305 &
5690). It appears all four steam locomotives were shared with another tour that
originated (was organised by?) Steamtown at Carnforth.
(2) Originally uploaded as 31221+31304 however Alan Barber had the second 31
recorded as 31307. Confirmation is therefore required.
Chris Heaven's ticket for the tour.
