Notes :
(1) Originally planned to run on 8th October 1977 but postponed for reason(s)
unexplained.
(2) Tour name on the timing sheet was 'Diesel Multiple Unit Rail Tour From
Crewe' though John Broderick has it noted as 'Greater Manchester &
Sheffield' and the pre-tour blurb as headed 'Manchester &
Sheffield Areas DMU Rail Tour'.
(3) Lack of capacity between Dinting & Glossop required passengers to
de-train and use a service train, rejoining the tour DMU at Hadfield (the DMU
presumably running ECS via the direct curve between Dinting & Hadfield).
(4) Tour fare included an add-on option to permit passengers to
use the 09.00 service-train from Euston/Watford Junction, and returning on a
service train to London after the tour.
