(1) Howard Parker comments: The fare of £4.00 was advertised for Brighton, so it is assumed that the train continued there for stabling. A fare of £5.70 was advertised as including transfer to/from the Bluebell Railway and a return journey on it. This option was sold out when I booked, but I boarded the transfer bus at Haywards Heath anyway and purchased a return for a journey on the Bluebell Railway.
(2) A connecting service ran from Burton-on-Trent via Derby & Long Eaton to Nottingham. Traction details required.
