Notes :
(1) Due to permanent way programme cut backs at the time it had been necessary
to delete the section north of Waun Llwyd and the Lady Windsor Colliery branch
from the original specification. The Rose Heyworth and Walnut Tree to Aber Jn
lines were substituted in compensation. The tour was to continue on its return
from Rose Heyworth to various locations in the Cardiff area but this was
thwarted by a strike of Cardiff Valley guards, leading to a early return to
Bristol.
(2) Ian Umpleby comments: The arrival time (actual) at Newport was on the Up
Relief and departure time (actual), after a shunt, was from platform 2.
