Notes :
(1) The tour was supposed to start from Middlesborough but the late arrival of the stock from York caused passengers to use a Saltburn - Darlington local service to connect with the excursion train at Eaglescliffe (booked routing would have been; as Middlesborough - Thornaby - Stockton - Hartlepool).
(2) It is understood there is a contemporary report suggesting this tour was a day excursion run by British Rail however this was in error and is in fact referring to this tour (the limited timings mentioned for the other tour matched this one). There was also a suggestion against that outing that 47016 was used on both non-steam legs but this appears to be in error as not mentioned by several of the contributors for this entry.
