Notes :
(1) Steve Poulton comments: The advertising flyer called this railtour the 'Cumbrian Coast Express' but, on the day, the locomotive headboard said 'Cumbrian Coast Pullman'. This was the second of two runs for this railtour (with the same mixed naming). The first was on Saturday 10th August 1985 using different steam locos.
(2) Originally reported as 34092 both ways however Steve Poulton comments: steam haulage was from Carnforth to Maryport and back. The train reversed direction at Maryport with a change of steam locomotive. The identity of the second steam locomotive, expected to be 4472, needs to be confirmed.
(3) Passengers could set down at Ravenglass (for the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway) or at Seascale ('for 3 hours on the beach') or stay on to Maryport.
