Notes :
(1) The details for the positioning train were taken from the itinerary. Actual details need confirming especially given that 171 worked the main train as a replacement for No.4.
(2) GN S Class 4-4-0 171 Slieve Gullion deputised for LMS NCC 2-6-4T No.4
(3) Sligo Quay branch to Sligo Goods omitted from tour for insurance and operational reasons.
(4) GN S Class 4-4-0 171 Slieve Gullion and RPSI preserved stock deputised for GS&WR 0-6-0 No.184 and RPSI Mullingar stock because repairs to 184’s boiler could not be completed in time and vandalism to the stock.
(5) This tour was advertised as a celebration of No. 85 Merlin’s return to main line traffic after 23 years.
