Notes :
(1) Howard Parker comments: Passengers were given the option of a longer break at Tenby if they didn’t want to visit Pembroke Dock, or a shorter break if they did. The delay at Cardiff on the return was awaiting the guard for the onward journey who had travelled from Port Talbot on an ECS working, having expected that the special would be stopping there for him to alight. Similarly, the wait at Brent was for the guard who had been delayed travelling south as the fast lines between Wellingborough and Sharnbrook were closed for engineering work. This was the reason the delay there, as we had to wait for an up train coming off the single line.
