(1) Howard Parker comments: There was an option to leave the special at Bangor on the outward journey for a coach tour to visit both Caernarfon and Beaumaris, then rejoining the special at Llanfairpwll. The crew changes at Leicester on the outward journey and Derby on the return were not indicated in the tour booklet. 20117, 20121, 47116, 47424 and 47541 were noted withdrawn at Crewe diesel depot and 81004, 81009, 82005, 83015, 85002, 85005 and 85015 withdrawn at the electric depot.
