"Atlantic Coast Express": an ingenious connection with the famous SR named train, the link being poet John Betjeman. Amongst his works are 'Middlesex' (Gaily into Ruislip Gardens runs the red electric train.....) , 'The Metropolitan Railway' , 'Harrow-on-the-Hill' (When melancholy autumn comes to Wembley  and electric trains are lighted after tea.....) and his television portrait of  'Metroland'.  Betjeman was also a great lover of Cornwall and is buried in St Enodoc, near Padstow, the destination of the original 'ACE'
