(3) There was a threat that due to West Coast Railways' ongoing dispute with the ORR regarding the central door lock situation this tour would not go ahead. Thankfully, however the 9 day tour went on ahead with only three air brake fitted locos: Ian Riley's Black 5 twins 44871 & 45407 'The Lancashire Fusilier' & West Coast Railways own 34067 'Tangmere'.
