Train was delayed by points failure when leaving the riverside line to join the
electrified route at Bowling. Train was held at Dunblane to await passage
of a northbound parcels train hauled by a maroon Stanier Coronation. At
Cumbernauld a boy dropped a stone between the units from a bridge smashing
the driving cab window of the second unit
