Notes :
(1) Route confirmation required. John Godfrey comments: This tour started from
Cardiff, worked to Newport, then visited Hafodyrynys, Blaenavon Furnace Sdgs,
and Glascoed R.O.D. (where they weren't expecting us and the train was
surrounded by armed soldiers!). There was also a trip over the steeply-graded
NCB line from Abersychan & Talywain to Blaenersychan colliery in NCB vehicles
converted from 10-foot wheelbase freight vans and worked by an industrial
Andrew-Barclay 0-6-0 tank loco.
