(1) This tour was to have been run in conjunction with Ian Allan Travel however low bookings (just 85 passengers) would have resulted in a large loss so the plans were scaled back and service trains used between Euston and Birmingham New Street, and Rugby and London Euston. The chartered DMU was also attached to the 11.30 Shrewsbury to Aberystwyth as far as Dovey Junction.
