(1) Believed to have been the first working of the 'Cumbrian Coast Express'.
(2) 44871 & 45407 worked tender-to-tender.
(3) Chris Totty comments: Three special steam hauled trains ran on the R&ER with
the first leaving Ravenglass at 13:30. Each train stayed at Dalegarth for about
20 minutes with the first departure back to Ravenglass at 14:35 - at least one
was hauled out from Ravenglass to Dalegarth by 'River Mite' and one returned
hauled by 'River Irt'. Webmasters note: presumably there was a third loco
involved, identity of this is required.
