(1) John Cassey comments: This train and The Yorkshire Ranger of 01/07/1989 were originally booked to be hauled by a Class 45/1, which I believe was 45128 after 45106 caught fire but 128 was never reinstated. Both were then booked for a pair of 31/4’s.
